Cat & Dog Ball!
If you are a dog and cat lover you will know that the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in south west London marked its 150 anniversary with a ball last week.
The Collar and Coats Gala Ball was hosted by British actress and television personality Amanda Holden, 39, who bought along her own tiny pooch a King Charles Spaniel called Patrick.
Other notable ‘human’ guests included Brian May from rock band Queen, actor and singer Roger Daltrey and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.
Battersea Dogs and Cats Home was founded by Mary Tealby in 1860 and was initially run by volunteers, though the centre now employs more than 300 staff and it has cared for more than three million animals in the 150 years it’s been open.

Great War VC Sold!
Specialist auctioneers Spink in London sold a Victoria Cross last week that was earned by the only professional footballer to join the army and fight in World War 1.
Donald Bell became a hero when he stormed a Gun machine nest in 1916 during the battle of the Somme, killing 50.
Unfortunately he was awarded the medal posthumously as the 25-year-old died a few days later in combat.
It is the third-highest auction price paid for a VC and far exceeded its £160,000 pre-sale estimate. The Medal will be on display at the new National Football Museum in Manchester and loaned to the museum of Green Howards.

Was it Bait?
Claims are being made that the police van left in Whitehall, London in the middle of the protests last week was laid as bait. It’s an interesting idea… a target to defuse the threat of violence between rioters and officers or media coverage of the vandalised van to undermine the protest.
Scotland Yard decline the claim and say it was not a set up. Though one has to question why it was there in the middle of the street with no other police around it and suspiciously with no number plate.
It was an old model and the officers who left it in the street said they did so as they felt vulnerable and thought the best course of action was to leave it and make their escape by foot. Yeah right! but it makes great news?

Wrap Up Warm!
Get you winter woolies out as London forecasters are predicting that the biting Arctic winds that are sweeping across the country and leaving several areas covered in snow will be hitting the London area in a few days.
Temperatures dipped to freezing last night and are expected to fall to around -5C (23F) in some regions.
Of course London should escape the heaviest snow which as usual is hitting the Scottish Highlands as well as Yorkshire, North East England and East Anglia.
Be prepared with anti-freeze in your car, di-icer in your glove box, salt for you drive and the warmest coat and gloves you can find.
If booking one of our London Escort Girls don’t freeze on the way to their apartment..

His Fire Extinguished!
We Supreme69 Girls love a uniformed London fireman and were horrified to hear how one, David Mortimer, from the Chelsea Fire Station in West London conned his Fireman chums out of £250,00 in a betting scam.
He deservedly got the full force of the judicial system when discovered to be tricking colleagues to invest in a foolproof horse betting system. The 54 year-old conned them into believing that he had perfected a computerised system that would net them millions (as if) and they invested between £100 to £40,000 a time.
David will not be putting out fires for at least 5 years as he was justifiably sent to prison.
There is no such thing as a fool proof system but there is such a thing as a great time and our London Escort girls can help you find it… No kidding!

Whitehall Daisy Chain!
Hats off to plucky student Zoe Williams who bravely tried to prevent the police van in the Whitehall London SW1 student demonstrations in getting trashed.
She formed a daisy chain with other girls dressed in school uniform around the police van to prevent more damage. In a almost futile attempt to remind the protesters why they where there. To protest about the rise in student fees not about hating the police and trying to destroy everything they represent.
She like many wanted to participate in a peaceful demonstration but felt much of the violence was fuelled by activists who joined in wanting a day of rioting.
Avoid the protest and relax with one of our London Escort girls.

Life in 3D!
Sky TV was particularly proud of itself last month when it celebrated the arrival of more 3D content for its dedicated 3D channel by floating representations of helium filled balloons above the Greenwich Observatory in South East London.
Nine large helium balloons made up to look like the planets of our solar system were floated and illuminated to create a unique spectacle in the London skys.
The balloons were designed to highlight a new documentary called The Universe: 7 wonders of the Solar System. You may have missed the documentary but expect more cool content to follow.
The Royal Observatory, Greenwich, situated on a hill in Greenwich Park overlooking the Thames pays a major role in the history of astronomy and navigation and is now maintained as a tourist attraction.
