Aquatics Poll Makes London Splash!
The London Aquatics Centre was launched during the week by British diving hopeful Tom Daley.
The centre was unveiled, five years after work began and a year ahead of schedule, in spectacular style in a special ceremony by a select group of VIP’s and special guests. It has become the fifth and final permanent venue in the London Olympic park. The other areas are the Olympic Stadium, the Velodrome, the handball arena and the enormous International Broadcast Centre (IBC).
The Aquatic centre which cost around £250million is one of the best aquatic centres in the world and boasts a two 50m swimming pools and a diving pool and can seat 17,500 spectators during the games.
The cosmetics still have to be applied but despite these small issues everyone who attended the launch ceremony said it was an incredible piece of design and engineering.

Striking Back At The Empire!
A prop designer, Andrew Alnsworth has won the right to continue selling replica imperial stormtrooper helmets in the UK following a ruling from the supreme court in London.
Andrew, 62 from Twickenham, South West London, has been having a long running battle with Lucas Films about the distinctive helmets. He worked on the original helmets for the original film and deemed them as costumes not sculptures therefore had a shorter 15-year copyright period.
Unfortunately Lucas films thought otherwise and tried to sue him for £12million but the judge ruled in Andrews favour.
Though Andrew can continue to make and sell them in the UK he is not allowed to sell them in the United States. He has currently sold over 2,000 helmets which retail for around £300.
Keep your own hat on and spend some quality time with one of our London Escort girls who would love to look at your helmet.

Stations Become National Treasure!
You may not know it but if you travel to work by London underground your station may be architecturally listed.
The English Heritage has recognised the fact that many of the Tube stations in London are or historical architectural significance and have listed 16 tube stations. Including two of the busiest on the 249-mile network – Oxford Circus and Covent garden.
People assume that only country homes and georgian vicarages get listed status but this shows how wrong they can be.
Last year, English Heritage also gave listed status to London’s Abbey Road Zebra Crossing, made famous by the Beatles. Other weird listings include a block of public loos in North london and a roller-coaster in Brighton.
Look at our London Escort girls and appreciate their significance!

The death of Amy Winehouse has caused many drunken fans to attend a wake outside her north london home.
Police where called to try an d restore order and break up the fans that have mobbed the road in which she lived and caused many of the neighbours to get rightly upset.
Most of the fans were seen drinking alcohol, dancing or collapsing in the road side and generally making a nuisance of themselves sin an otherwise quite area of london.
Bottles of wine, beer cans and cigarettes were being strewn all over the place around Camden Square in North london much to the upset of the local residents. Some residents had expressed the loss of the neighbour but now asked for calm as many had been unable to sleep during the night because of the drunks.

Famous Painter is No More!
The influential painter Lucian Freud died the other day aged 88 in his London home following an illness and is yet another sad death of some of London’s talented artists.
Freud was one of the greatest artists of his generation and was renown for his realist portraits that often depicted nudes.
One of his more recent better known painting was that of model Kate Moss in 2002, while she was pregnant. And another, of a nude woman on a couch sold for £20.6million and yet despite all the fame and money he led a fairly ordinary life and avoided all the usual trappings of the art worlds fame and fortune.
Name familiar? he was the grandson of Sigmund Freud, the psychoanalyst, and the elder brother of broadcaster of Clement Freud.

Invincible Rats!
Retail analysts say that most people in London are no more than twenty minutes from a branch of the supermarket Tescos. It is also commonly know that the common rat is only yards away from a Londoner, hidden away in our sewage system. Nice.
Though in this country they are fairly well controlled despite the fact that they breed very enthusiastically a new fear is developing. This is the mutant super rat that is imperious to poisons.
The breed has mutated from the desert to combat the lack of vitamin K – which makes the blood clot. Now mice in Germany have been found with the same mutation after African and European mice were mixed.
It may be fascinating from a ‘evolution in the act’ perspective but many are concerned that if this gets out of control london and other major cities could be over run by vermin.

London Thames Treasure!
The Tower of London held its annual Archaeology and Discover Weekend on the banks of the river Thames last week.
This is the only time of the year that the foreshore (The beach and the wharf) of the Thames outside the Tower of London is open to the public. It’s unlikely that the merry treasure hunters will find anything of real value but its a fun way to while away an afternoon looking for things that people in the Tower throw away up to 900 years ago.
Archaeologists were on hand to lend a hand and spot any proper treasure. The finds included tudor coins, medieval floor tiles and much more. They also found lees interesting things including bottle tops, crisp packets and beer cans all from the twentieth century but it didn’t seem to stop the treasure hunters having fun.
Looking for a real treasure? Look no further than our London Escort gallery. There are some real gems to be had.

Dead But Sales Up!
It’s a sad fact but if you don’t make it big when you’re living there is always the possibility that your time will come when you’re dead.
Thats what many artists find when they die though unfortunately are unable to reap any of the financial rewards.
Amy Winehouse who recently died in her North london home has seen sales of her second album, Back to Black, that was originally released five years ago in 2006, shoot back into the album charts. And her debut album is also creeping up the U.K.’s official charts.
Statistically speaking her album sales have increased a huge 37-fold between the 24-hour period between Friday and Saturday when her death was announced.
Chart analysts are not surprised and expect sales to continue to climb over the coming days. A similar phenomenon happened to Michael Jacksons back catalogue after he died last year.
