A smug Tony Blair must be rather pleased with himself as the memoirs of his time as Prime Minister in Downing Street, London took off, after being launched yesterday.
Sales of his book have broken all records on the first day as stores in London soon sold out. Waterstone’s, one of the UKs largest book stores, said that it had become the fastest selling autobiography ever and was confirmed when it shot to the top of online retailer Amazons best-seller list.
Comparing it to other autobiographies of stars such as footballer, David Beckham and comedian, Russell Brand. Tony Blairs book is much more successful. Some may argue that this is no surprise but interestingly the book is proving less popular with readers on the continent.
