Charles Holds a Garden Party!
Good old Prince Charles is opening his rather posh gardens at Clarence House, together with those of his neighbours at Lancaster House and Marlborough House for his twelve-day garden party.
Sound fun? – It includes a music programme by Jools Holland and featuring the likes of Rolf Harris, comedy chosen by Marcus Brigstocke and Hugh Dennis, including a set by Alistair McGowan, and fashion curated by Vivienne Westwood, including the launch of Emma Watson’s new collection for Fairtrade label People Tree.
The party is part of the Prince of Wales’s ‘Start’ initiative and it aaims to demonstrate the small steps we can take to build a more sustainable future and features exhibits and demonstrations -including areas devoted to gardening and the great outdoors curated by Alan Titchmarsh and Kate Humble
If interested you can also snoop around Charles’s own veg patch and see the size of his marrow!
The gardens are open between September 8th and 12th (Fashion show Sep 11 3.30pm only).
