Karate Kid Premiere!
I’m desperately trying to avoid saying ‘too much to young’, but I can’t help feel Will smiths son Jaden smith, star of the new movie, The Karate Kid, may be a bit precocious.
The other day I popped down to the Leicester Square premiere with new girl, Caprice from Supreme69 to check out the stars as they arrived. I caught a glimpse of director and Kung-Fu legend Jackie Chan, heavily pregnant actress Natalie Cassidy as well as the young star of the new movie, Jaden and his famous dad Will.
While the movie is not Jaden’s silver screen debut – he previously starred alongside his dad in The Pursuit Of Happyness in 2006 and alongside Keanu Reeves in The Day The Earth Stood Still – it is the first film vehicle he has fronted.
I wish them well with the hotly anticipated film about a young lad who masters the skills of Kung-Fu but I still found the prescience of young Jaden irritating. Call it jealousy perhaps but lets hope his sudden escalation to fame dosen’t make his personality become overpowering as well as his karate kicks.
