London Keeps Sober!
The girls and I, at Supreme69, all like a drink now and again but it seems that everyone across the UK are cutting down, despite all the publicity regarding binge drinking.
Figures recently released show a dramatic fall in alcohol consumption – the biggest since 1948. Total consumption among over 18s in bars, hotels and restaurants dropped 6% year-on-year, according to the British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA)
Not that we need to be reminded but London remains the most expensive place in the UK to by a pint, with prices 35% higher than in the North-east, the report confirmed. An average pint of lager costs £2.95, whilst bitter costs £2.58.
All very interesting but we think they are forgetting that nowaday folks buy their alcohol with their weekly shop unlike the 40’s when alcohol was drunk primarily in pubs, restaurants and clubs.
Us ladies still prefer a glass of white wine and always are careful with what we drink for two reasons; to keep our figures trim and to be sure we remain razor sharp when it comes to doing what we love best.
