Roll back the Roof!
All that money spent on the new Wimbledon tennis roof and since it’s been built a few years ago it has hardly been used. That’s just typical of the London weather. Anticipate rain and it never comes – Don’t expect it and it pours.
It really does look as if Wimbledon will bake in temperatures in the late twenties this week as the heat-wave gives no indication of stopping. According to the Met Office there is a possibility of it being a little unsettled today or later in the week but even if it does rain it isn’t expected to be sufficient to hinder the Wimbledon final or cause the roof to be closed.
We guess some geeky official in Wimbledon is secretly disappointed that they haven’t had the opportunity to roll their roof out – you know… boys and their toys. You really can’t stop playing with them.
