Sight For Saur Eyes!
The South Bank Centre in South East London has got a new attraction. A pair of huge prehistoric reptiles (not birds) namely, pterosaurs.
These scary looking critters are not actually dinosaurs but extinct reptiles nevertheless they caused quite a fright when they roamed our planet to the end of the Cretaceous Period (220 to 65.5 million years ago).
Five life-sized models have been built to mark 350 years of the Royal Society as part of their summer 10 day Festival of Science and Arts exhibition and will be on display until Sunday July 4.
200 years of research has uncovered more than 100 different species of pterosaur ranging in size from a sparrow to a Spitfire aeroplane.
