Queen celebrates sixty years as monarch
The sound of gun fire rattled across London yesterday as the Queen celebrated sixty years as our monarch, a forty one gun salute in London’s Hyde Park set the ball rolling for our eighty five year old Queen who is in her diamond jubilee year. Here in London on the third of June over a thousand boats will sail down the river Thames to mark the monumental occasion with the Queen in her boat leading the way, London will be packed to the rafters for the event with most hotels and guest houses already booked in advance, it is going to be a very special year for London with not only the diamond jubilee of the Queen but also the Olympic games as well as this we will be having an extra bank holiday, making London the place to be in 2012

Amanda on the mend
Amanda Holden posed for a photo shoot yesterday with her new baby just a fortnight after she nearly died during child birth, The happy families snap included Amanda with husband Chris Hughes, daughter Lexi, and new addition Hollie Rose, Amanda who is a judge on the popular game show Britain’s got Talent was in intensive care for three days after giving birth to Holly Rose, but now she is fighting fit once more and has been amazed at the love and kind wishes bestowed on her by her many fans and friends alike, Amanda’s place at the auditions for the show in Cardiff was taken by Carmen Electra until Amanda decides to return, which should be in Edinburgh this coming Saturday Amanda who was married to funny man Les Dennis hit the headlines for having an affair with Neil Morrissey,
but all that is in the past and for Amanda it’s all about the family now.

Big Chill hits London !!
We have snow forecast for tomorrow here in London, with the BBC predicting a snowfall of around 3cm in Trafalgar Square, The cold chill is down to Siberian winds blowing into London from the East, With a level three amber cold alert already in situ, and with the snow and ice predicted for the weekend experts are saying a level four alert is more likely as the bad conditions may affect the emergency services and care workers alike. We are currently enduring the coldest week of the winter so far and here in London is no exception with temperatures dropping rapidly! 
The whole of England with the exception of the south west and east has been given an official snow and ice warning from the met office here in London, the government health office are concerned about the problems the bad weather may bestow upon us and are planning a special meeting with the emergency services.

John Terry trial postponed !!
England and Chelsea captain John Terry has had his trial for racial abuse put back until after the European Championship`s this coming summer, Terry who yesterday never attended court got his legal team to persuade a judge at Westminster`s magistrate court to postpone the trial until the 9th of July. 
Terry 31 is accused of hurling racial slurs toward QPR player Anton Ferdinand 26, The postponement will come as a huge relief to England manager Fabio Capello who was under pressure from the public to strip Terry of his captaincy, Anti Racial groups are furious that the Football Association did not impose a ban on Terry as soon as he was charged , John Terry`s legal team said that Mr Terry is looking forward to clearing his name and putting this whole situation to bed!

Save our Ship !!
A campaign has been launched to save the ship in a bottle on the fourth plinth in London`s Trafalgar Square, The sculpture by Yinka Shonibare is wanted by the Greenwich Maritime Museum here in London to go on permanent display, But a well-known Korean art collector has offered the artist twice the asking price in order to prize it away from London. 
The fund raising so far has only pulled in £95,000 and £363,000 has to be raised by late April in order for the ship that symbolises Nelson`s victory at Trafalgar to stay in London, The sculpture has now been removed to make way for the next art instillation and we are sure that people in London would be horrified to think it could end up in some garden in Korea when it`s true home surely has to be the London Maritime Museum in Greenwich

Marilyn Monroe sparkling for Rihanna!
British artist Claire Milner has sparkles in her eyes after selling a portrait of movie icon Marilyn Monroe to pop sensation Rihanna for over £100,000, The five foot square facial portrait of Marilyn is made up entirely of over 66,000 sparkling crystals each of which was fitted by hand, The picture took five months to complete and weighed in at around fourteen stone!,
so the shipping costs alone from Milners artist studios in Yorkshire to Rihanna`s luxury Beverley Hills home must have been eye watering to say the least!, All the crystals used in the stunning portrait were supplied by Swarovski the portrait itself shimmers and changes colour as the light reflects off the crystals making it a real thing of beauty, Marilyn who died from a prescription drug overdose on the 5th of August 1962 is probably the biggest icon Hollywood has ever produced.
